Six Facts About Prince George of Cambridge

     It has now been six months since Prince George was born on July 22, 2013 to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Here are six facts about the boy who will one day be King.

1. His title and style in full is: His Royal Highness George Alexander Louis of Cambridge.

2. Prince George is third in line to the thrones of the Commonwealth realms (including the United Kingdom), following his grandfather, the Prince of Wales, and his father, the Duke of Cambridge.

3. He is also the third great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, following Savannah Phillips and Isla Phillips (daughters of Peter Phillips), and is their first great-grandson.

4. His birth marked the first time since 1901 that a reigning monarch and three heirs in direct succession to the throne were alive at the same time - only the second time in British history.

5. George was baptized by Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury on October 23, 2013 at a private ceremony at the Chapel Royal of St. James's Palace.

6. As the son of Prince William, George is first in line to his father's titles: Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn, and Baron Carrickfergus.
